Variously paginated. Hardcovers bound in brown publisher's cloth with cover designs embossed in black and with spine titles in gilt. A Four Volume set, complete (8 Volumes in 4, as issued). All bindings show wear, including spotting, scuffs and moderate rubbing. Headcaps/feet and corners are bumped/frayed. The original owner signed his name to all the volumes, and marking 2nd book: Feb. 16, 1881 at-set $7.00. All 4 books have cracked rear gutter as well loose pages/boards, please see pictures.
